CI & Training Champion

What do you do at W.Howard?  I have the pleasure of working with a great team at Astley site in this new role (Dec 2022 commenced) Whilst in its infancy I now look at establishing new SOP systems for the site and Training staff in all aspects for the machinery / production – whether that be in group, classroom or 1:1 as required.

When did you join W.Howard? March 2017

What do you most enjoy about working at W.Howard?  Having pretty much covered most roles in my two terms of employment with the business (First started back in late 1990’s) from working on the production lines to managing the factory on a day-to-day basis – I think the variety of work and great progression I have gained has been the most enjoyable part to date

What is your Favourite Product and why?  Favourite would have to be our Veneered and our contemporary range of products, I follow the Bauhaus design style and prefer the modern look they give.

What’s the best advice you’ve ever received?

  • You can always take it off – you can never put in back on (Referring to machining some exotic expensive species of timber)
  • Why put off until tomorrow what you can do today.

What most recently made you smile? My kids, every time I see them
