W.Howard gets festive with design competition

W.Howard continues to support the local community with its latest festive project - a Christmas card competition in conjunction with a local school. Culcheth Primary School in Warrington asked all pupils across the entire school to design a Christmas card that W.Howard could send out to its customers, suppliers and industry colleagues.

Hundreds of designs were submitted, with some fantastic ideas from Christmas trees to snowmen. A winner chosen from each year group was then given the chance to see their design turned into a real Christmas card that will be distributed before Christmas.

Graham Williams, Group Managing Director of W.Howard, visited the school to present everyone who had taken part with a Christmas selection box, while the winner from each year also received their very own art set so they could continue developing their art skills.

Graham said: “We have always taken our role in the community very seriously, and we’re always looking for ways we can give back and support the next generation, whether that’s through apprenticeships or by introducing younger children to the construction industry.
“We wanted to do something with Culcheth Primary School to help the pupils get into the Christmas spirit, and we are delighted that the school liked our idea of holding a Christmas card competition and asking the children to design our card for 2022.”
